College of Qom Student Affairs
C.Q has allocated many facilities for welfare, services, and
student’s affairs. As a result, students who have the necessary
qualification have been settled in dormitories of College. These
dormitories are:
Imam Ali yal Naghi (peace be upon him) dormitory which is next to
official and educational departments within the College’ area.
This dormitory is only for men, with capacity of 400 students.
Hazrat Zahra (peace be upon her) dormitory is only for women, with
capacity of 100 students, near Imam Khomeini square. Furthermore,
back building of this dormitory has been used by students as a small
dormitory.
Recently, another dormitory called Hazrat Masoomeh has been under
construction within the college College. This dormitory is going to
be completed with the financial aid of some pious people.
In addition to allocation of dormitory to students, student’s loan
and other welfare facilities have been assured to the students. One
day and two days camps are other welfare facilities.
Supreme leader’s representative office: This office figures out
religious and political problems of students. In general, it guides
students without any special tendency. This office has been
exploited on 2003.
C.Q cultural affairs is an official unit which is administrator of
student’s cultural activities. The importance of these affairs will
be better found, when the role of students and their capacities are
clarified in directing the cultural affairs of society.
These cultural activities includes different clubs like Quran and
Etrat club, photo and film club, Iran logy and Iran Tourism, poetry
and literature club, student’s thoughts club, and red crescent club.
Students apply for membership of these clubs with considering of
their interests. The activities of student’s offices are dependent
on coordination of cultural affairs.
Also, student’s assembly of C.Q is the main center of student’s
activities. This assembly is an Islamic assembly that has begun 18
years ago. Membership in this assembly is fulfilled by yearly
election. Islamic assembly is undertaking political and cultural
activities of students like programs of festivals, martyrdom, and
birthdays. Activities of Islamic assembly are holding political
lectures, taking students to Jamkaran Mosque, Holy Shrine of Hazrat
Masumeh, and holding book fairs.
Islamic assembly of Tehran University’s students and Tehran’s
medical sciences university has founded one branch in C.Q on 2002.
Student’s mobilization is directing mobilized student’s activities.
The most important motivation and purpose of this assembly is
perpetuation of mobilized thoughts in the society.
C.Q has 37 faculty members, who are undertaking students’
educational affairs. In addition to these members, several-invited
professors from other universities are teaching in this College.
Truly it is necessary to say that Mizan publication which is printed
by Islamic assembly of law students took the first place among
Tehran University publications. Also, research project of one of the
professors who is faculty member was chosen as a best research
project in Tehran University.
Relations and interactions with other universities, research and
academic centers is one of the important means to promote the
scientific level of a college center.
This issue has been viewed from two points, by C.Q; first to
interact with domestic centers for research and academic studies
like seminary schools, and secondly to interact with those in
abroad.
The trend of relation and instruction with foreign centers has been
augmented increasingly during the last two years.
This happened after presence of Prof. Hanes Jorge Albrecht who is in
charge of the international criminal law section of Max Plank
Institute.
It is worthy of saying that he has been assigned as adjunct
professor for C.Q.
Consequently, since then, workshop of criminal law was held here
with his presence and other prominent lecturers. It was of good
avail for students to attend in the workshop. It would be pointed
out that the second round of the workshop was held this year and it
is hoped that it will be held annually in future too.
On this relationship, Professor Albrecht along with Dr. Simon
expressed their hope to exchange students and professors with Tehran
University.
And research project of another professor was chosen as the selected
project of Spain Granada University. Furthermore, two professors
were selected as the best among Qom Province researchers.
C.Q is affiliated with Tehran University in term of its
organization, but it is financially independent.
The dean of C.Q is Dr.Hassan Zare'i matin, associate professor of
C.Q. C.Q personnel are whether employed by Tehran University or
employed by private sectors that have contract with C.Q. |
